WOODBURY – Is your power out this morning? You’re not alone… Although the issue is isolated to Woodbury, and not the surrounding communities.

A broken wire on Washington Rd. has caused 1,409 customer outages, according to Eversource’s outage map.

The outage was first reported at 6:32 a.m., and the estimated time of restoration is 9 a.m., Eversource said.

However, Region 14 schools is not taking any chances. The school system announced an emergency closing at about 7:15 this morning. Students who were on buses were returned home, and parents who’d dropped their children were notified.
