Alyssa Renihan Gets Hat Trick in Nonnewaug Field Hockey Win

WASHINGTON – Alyssa Renihan scored three goals to lead the Nonnewaug field hockey team to a 5-0 win over Wamogo.

Lauren Parker and Maddie Roden each scored a goal and Adrianna Gottmeier had 3 saves for the Chiefs.

The game was played at The Gunnery due to field conditions at host Wamogo.

“The team overall played very well, and adjusted to playing on the turf field,” Nonnewaug head coach Beth Tarby said. “We worked well with passing and using the field.”

Nonnewaug raised its record to 9-2, and visits Newtown under the lights on Wednesday.
