Burglar Hits Southwood Auto Parts

WOODBURY – $550 was reported missing on April 1, but it certainly was not April Fools joke for Southwood Auto Parts.

According to Woodbury Police, a burglar entered the store at 828 Main St. S. at 7:30 a.m. and walked off with cash from a register drawer and a gray 12-inch by 18-inch safe.

Woodbury Police Officer Mark DeFeo said entry was gained to Southwood Auto Parts by prying a door open.

Anyone with information about the burglary can call DeFeo at the Woodbury Police Department at 203-263-3400.

In other police news, a Woodbury resident reported that a 14-ft. aluminum motor boat and trailer was stolen from a property located on White Deer Rocks Road sometime between mid-October 2017 and the beginning of March 2018. The theft was reported on March 27.
