Tibetan Singing Bowl Sound Healing
January 12 @ 3:00 pm
The public is invited to Woodbury Meditation & Yoga Center Saturday, January 12th at 3:00 pm to enjoy a relaxing afternoon as Karin Reetz provides a “Tibetan Singing Bowl Sound Healing”.
Sound is the first sense we perceive in the womb and the last as we leave our bodies. Sound affects us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, whether we are aware of it or not. Every organ system, bone and cell responds to sound, whether harmonious and balancing, or disharmonious and making us sick. Healing can be achieved by restoring the normal vibratory frequency of the disharmonious – and therefore diseased – part of the body.
Studies have shown that Tibetan Singing Bowls have the ability to induce a deep relaxation of muscles, joints, and organs, reduce stress and stress related disorders, lower blood pressure and heart rate, improve sleep, balance the chakras (energy centers of the body), detoxify the body, help with pain management, and reduce addictions, depression and anxiety.
“If we accept that sound is vibration, and we know that vibration touches every part of our physical being, then we understand that sound is “heard” not only through our ears but through every cell in our body.” (Excerpt from The Healing Power of Sound by Mitchell L. Gaynor, MD)
In addition, advance reservations can be made for 25-minute individual healing sessions, with bowls on and around your body, scheduled for before or after the group sound healing event.
Cost of the group healing event is $20 per person. The cost for a 25-minute private healing session is $41, and the cost for both group and individual healing sessions is $55.
