Chiefs With Character: Olivia Melillo

Olivia Melillo is a freshman at Nonnewaug High School and was nominated by English teacher Maura White. Here’s why Olivia Melillo was chosen as one of the Chiefs With Character for June 2018:

I would like to nominate Olivia Melillo for Chiefs with Character. She is a freshman who truly exemplifies this title!

Not only does Olivia work incredibly hard in English class, revising her writing and contributing to class discussions, she is a wonderful role model and friend to others. She is peer mentor in Unified Club and also pursues her creative talents in Literary Club.

Olivia is always willing to lend a hand whether it is to a teacher or to a peer and always greets everyone with a smile and genuine kindness. She is thoughtful and respectful to everyone and hardworking and that is why I think she is truly a Chief with Character!
