Community Theatre at Woodbury Holding a Casting Call for “The Dixie Swim Club”

WOODBURY – Community Theatre at Woodbury will hold a casting call for “The Dixie Swim Club” March 2 from 1 – 3 p.m. and March 3 from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Woodbury Parks & Rec Building.

Director Maureen Denver is looking for five females ages 35 and up to fill the roles. A perusal copy of script will be available at the Woodbury Public Library.

Rehearsals begin Thursday, March 7 and are every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday with additional rehearsals as needed.

“The Dixie Swim Club” summary: Five southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend every August to recharge those relationships. They meet at the same beach cottage to catch up, laugh, and meddle in each other’s lives. Four of those weekends are focused on and span a period of thirty-three years.

The performance dates are May 10-12 and Mat 17-19.
