Daniel Logue Cornfield to be Dedicated on Saturday

The Region 14 Board of Education, Region 14 Agriscience Department, and the Town of Woodbury will be dedicating the “Field of Corn” in memory of Daniel Logue this Saturday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m. The field is located on Route 6 adjacent to the Woodbury Ambulance building.

Logue passed away earlier this year from injuries sustained in an accident.

This field has been farmed by Dan and his family for many years and dedicating it to his memory is a fitting tribute for the service and commitment to the Region and the Town of Woodbury. Dan, with several members of his family, owned and operated Logue Farms Inc., of Woodbury, a family business of more than three generations that began here in 1905.

Mr. Logue was a life-long resident of Woodbury. He attended Nonnewaug High School and was an FFA officer from 1971-1972 where he served as the Chapter Sentinel. He also went to Kansas City, MO for the National FFA Meats Judging Contest in 1972.  Later in life he served on the NHS Agriscience Consulting committee for many years. Both of Dan’s daughters followed in his footsteps as students in the NHS Agriscience program.
