Gallery: Live Reading of the Declaration on Independence

WOODBURY – There was a live reading of the Declaration of Independence this morning at the Town Office Complex.

Coordinated by the Woodbury Democratic Town Committee, this is the second-known live reading of the Declaration of Independence held in town on Independence Day, according to Democratic Town Committee chairman Lesa Peters.

Martha Sherman addressed the crowd of about 50 with a quick history lesson about the Declaration of Independence, which was read by Vanita Bhalla, Annie Musso, Cindy Eastman, and Andy Sherman. Jan Maki and Lynne Kearney led the audience in singing the National Anthem.
