WOODBURY – What a day for a Walk-A-Thon at Mitchell Elementary School!

The Mitchell Elementary School PTO held its 4th-annual Walk-A-Thon on Friday, Oct. 6, at the end of the school day. The fundraising event is a way for students to take ownership in knowing they did their part to help raise money for their school.

This fun-filled event has all students outside walking to music, and each classroom is dressed in a theme to show their school spirit. All of the sponsored donations go towards the MES PTO’s sponsored enrichments programs throughout the year.

And after the walk, Nonnewaug High School’s Team BETA demonstrated a robot in action. The robot tossed out balls to the students in the crowd.
