Hundreds of Pets – and People – Wish Kevin Barry a Happy Birthday

WOODBURY – For Kevin Barry, it may have been the best day ever.

Hundreds of pets – and their people – dropped by Woodbury Saw & Mower today to wish Barry a Happy 40th Birthday.

Last month, Barry’s father, also Kevin Barry, posted an invite to Woodbury Saw & Mower’s Facebook page.

“[Kevin] has been in a wheelchair his entire life he also has some developmental delays, yes he does talk however he is painfully shy, except when it comes to talking about animals,” the elder Barry wrote of his son in the post.

And today, the birthday boy had non-stop visitors come in and say hello. The parade of animals (and people) started before the store opened and ended after Woodbury Saw & Mower closed at 5:30 p.m.

There were visits from police K-9s, a goat, a cockatiel, chickens, a lemur, plenty of dogs, and several other animals.

Just as important to the elder Kevin Barry, the non-stop visits with animals made his son happy.
