Just Woodbury’s 10 Most-Popular Posts of 2018

WOODBURY – What a year 2018 was for Woodbury. So many things happened in this charming little town, and Just Woodbury did its best to report on everything it knew about.

We put together a Top 10 list of our most-popular posts of 2018, and we were quite surprised at what Google Analytics told us.

Understandably, the sudden death Friday of First Selectman Bill Butterly was the second-most-popular story of the year. It was also a year that saw a pair of restauraters – Constantines co-owner Eftihios “Steve” Sfinarolakis and Edward W. “Bud” Phillips, who owned and operated Phillips Diner for more than 45 years – pass away. We also lost larger-than-life businessman Daniel Logue and beloved ACE Hardware greeter Don Rulli.

And while the Audi stolen back in August at the Mobile station on Main Street sent shockwaves through town, it was also an unfortunate reminder that even charming towns like Woodbury are not exempt from crime.

Our sports coverage was King in 2017, but did not dominate the headlines in 2018. Neither did the seemingly never ending saga of Dollar General looking to open shop in town.

Without further ado, we bring you Just Woodbury’s 10 most-popular posts of 2018, in order of page views:
