Lemonade and Candy Stand to Benefit Foundation in Uganda

WOODBURY – The 3rd Annual Sam and Katie’s Ultimate Lemonade and Candy Stand to benefit Clare Nsenga Foundation in Uganda will be held on Saturday, June 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sam Savulak, a third-grader at Mitchell Elementary School, and Katie Savulak, a sixth-grader at Woodbury Middle School, will sell lemonade, ice pops, and candy to raise funds for the clinic. Their uncle, Dr. Kevin Dieckhaus, is the foundation’s Medical Director, and often travels to Uganda to help patients there.

The girls have raised more than $300 over last 2 years, and funded purchase of thermometer and baby boxes for its new maternity/birthing unit.

While supplies last, Sam and Katie will give away 4 free kids books or kids magazines per customer.

Sam and Katie’s Ultimate Lemonade and Candy Stand will be set up at 132 Curtiss Road Ext. in Woodbury.
