WOODBURY – New Morning Market is partnering with Audubon Center Bent of the River in Southbury again this year to help bring awareness around conservation efforts for local birds.

“We formed a relationship with Audubon many years ago,” said John Pittari, owner of New Morning. He views the store’s longstanding relationship with Audubon as intrinsic to New Morning’s mission. “We can’t have sustainable and healthy foods without taking care of our natural environment.”

In order to support that mission New Morning Market will be donating 10% of profits for the entire month of December to Audubon Center Bent of the River in Southbury. They will also be selling local artist Al Erickson’s Bird Photography – 20% of his sales will also be donated to the cause. Visit New Morning Market’s café to view his stunning collection. Photos are available both framed and matted.

New Morning Market is also hosting a bird-themed story time on Thursday December 6th , 13th and 20th at 10am in their 2nd floor community room. Kate Pratt from Audubon Center Bent of the River will read a bird-themed story followed by a fun craft.
