Nonnewaug Field Hockey Beats Litchfield

WOODBURY – The Nonnewaug field hockey beat the rain and its opponent on Tuesday. The Chiefs officially completed their home game in before the storm hit, and defeated Litchfield 3-1.

Alyssa Renihan scored 2 goals for Nonnewaug, and Lindsey Ross put in a hard shot from a corner play to close out the scoring.
“Adrianna Gottmeier had an amazing game in goal with saves that surely saved the game for Nonnewaug,” said Chiefs head coach Beth Tarby.
Nonnewaug raised its record to 6-1 with the win, and is 5-0 in the Berkshire League.
The Chiefs host Brookfield on Wednesday in its annual Play for the Cure game. Baked goods will be available at the game for a donation.
