Nonnewaug Volleyball Falls to Lewis Mills 3-2

WOODBURY – The Nonnewaug girls volleyball team lost its second match in a row Tuesday, this time to Berkshire League rival Lewis Mills 3-2.

The match scores were close, with the Chiefs winning the first and fourth sets: 26-24; 22-25; 23-25; 25-21; 6-15.

It was Nonnewaug’s first Berkshire League loss of the season. The Chiefs are now 10-2 overall and 6-1 in league play.

Alexa Spain had 14 kills, 2 blocks, and 2 digs for Nonnewaug. Alexis Delia had 2 aces, 12 kills, 8 digs, and 2 blocks, and Skylar Delp had 41 Assists, 4 aces, and 12 digs.

Despite the loss, Nonnewaug still holds the top seed in the Berkshire League.

Nonnewaug returns to action tonight at Kennedy.
