Nonnewaug Volleyball Wins In a Pinkout 3-1

Nonnewaug defeated Terryville 3-1 on Tuesday, during its Pinkout. The event raised awareness and funds for breast cancer research.

WOODBURY – The Nonnewaug girls volleyball lost its first set to Terryville on Tuesday, but rebounded quickly to win 3-1.

Nonnewaug lost 25-18 in the first set, then won the final three by scores of 25-18, 25-20, and 20-5.

Skylar Delp led the Chiefs with 32 assists, 11 aces, 3 digs, and 1 kill. Alexis Delia had 7 digs, 11 kills, and 9 aces. Madison Conroy had 10 kills and 6 digs.

Terryville was led by Hailey Martin’s 4 assists and 1 ace, Martina Trovato’s 4 kills, 4 blocks, and 1 dig, and Lauren Jacobs’ 2 digs and 5 blocks.

The Chiefs held a Pinkout during the game to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.

Nonnewaug is now 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the Berkshire League. The Chiefs play their next game Thursday at Wolcott.
