WOODBURY – A man who is accused of having faxed sexually-explicit photos to his ex-boyfriend’s business was extradited as a fugitive from New Jersey to face several charges in Woodbury on June 21.
Rafael Christopher Cirino, 35, of Reading, PA was arrested and charged with breach of peace, second degree harassment and criminal violation of a restraining order. Cirino was transported to Troop L in Litchfield, did not post a $25,000 bond, and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court this morning.
State Police Sgt. Joseph Roden said Cirino’s ex-boyfriend was granted a restraining order prohibiting him from having any contact with the victim. Cirino ignored the order by sending the victim harassing, sexually explicit photographs at his place of work via their fax machine.
Cirino was also charged for failure to appear on a previous charge for driving under the influence.
According to the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch website, this is the fifth time Cirino has been arrested and charged with failure to appear. The first (August 2011), second (January 2014) and fourth (December 2014) stem from a January 2011 arrest for driving under the influence and driving without an ignition device.
The fourth failure to appear charge (September 2014) came after an August 2014 arrest on charges of driving under suspension and driving with illegally-tinted windows.
