The Woodbury Registrars of Voters will hold a special Registration Session for purposes of registering eligible voters enabling them to vote in either the State of Connecticut Democratic or Republican Primary election to be held on August 14.
This session will take place on July 31st, 2018, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm at the Registry office in the Shove Building, 281 Main Street South in Woodbury, CT.
Voters wishing to vote in one of the two major party primaries must have been registered as a member of their party of choice on or before May 14, 2018.The only exceptions to that rule are the following:
- New voters who register as a Republican or Democrat online or mail their registrations by August 8th, or register in person with the Town Clerk or Registers by noon on August 13.
- New residents of Woodbury who relocate from out of state or another town within Connecticut may register by the above deadlines.
- Existing voters who either leave the choice of party section blank on their registration card or check “unaffiliated” can change their party affiliation to Republican or Democratic by the deadlines above.
- This option is not available to electors who are registered members of minority parties such as The Liberal Party, Green Party , working families, Independent (or Independence) party who are subject to the May 14th deadline as outlined above.
