Region 14 Elementary Schools to “Stuff A Cruiser” Full of Toys

WOODBURY – Students at Region 14 elementary schools are helping to make this holiday brighter for kids in need by stuffing the police cruisers of the school Student Resource Officers full of toys this month.

Both schools are participating in “Stuff A Cruiser” toy drives where students and families are asked to bring new, unwrapped toys fill the police cruisers to donate to children in need inthe area.

Mitchell Elementary School students and staff will stuff Officer Bobby Dickens’ cruiser with toys on the afternoon on Friday. All toys and gifts will be donated to the Woodbury Community Services Council.

Students and staff at Bethlehem Elementary School will stuff Officer George Norman’s cruiser on Monday at 1:45 p.m. Toys and gifts will be donated to the St. Vincent DePaul Homeless Shelter in Waterbury.

The Student Councils at both Bethlehem Elementary and Mitchell Elementary Schools are spearheading these events and are welcoming toy donations from the school and community residents.
