Step Into Virtual Reality Saturday with Google Cardboard

WOODBURY – Woodbury Public Library is going virtual… kinda… on Saturday, July 29. Reference Librarian Tom Borysiewicz will introduce the amazing virtual reality capabilities of Google Cardboard during a 2 p.m. demonstration.

A smart phone is required for this program, and each family registered will receive one Google Cardboard viewing device. Advanced registration is required, and you can register here.

Using your smartphone and VR apps, games, or videos, Google Cardboard puts you into stunning environments that stretch out all around you. Travel the world, explore outer space, and more. No matter where you look, it’s as if you’re really there.

Cardboard supports most Android or iOS phones with screen sizes from 4 to 6 inches. It also has an interactive click button that works with all compatible phones.

Cardboard assembles in three simple steps. It also features custom-designed, high-quality lenses for immersive visuals and a partially laminated body for durability.
