BETHLEHEM – The weather may be getting warmer, but it hasn’t stop the Bethlehem Elementary School Student Council from warming the hearts of those in need.

In April, the BES Student Council hosted a fuel drive for families in need in Bethlehem. Through donations brought to school, students and staff were able to raise $423 to help heat homes in the community.

Rick Wood, from Caring for Bethlehem, came to the school recently to receive the donation.

The student council is headed by teachers Kathleen Von Duntz and Tricia Dannehoffer and have helped the students with various community fundraisers throughout the school year.
