The Woman’s Club of Woodbury is partnering with American Legion Post 155 to host its fifth Veteran’s Day Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Cannon Green Main Street South in Woodbury.
The Ceremony honors all uniformed men and women who are serving or have served in the United States Armed Forces in pursuit of peace for the world.
The Cannon (South) Green Ceremony will include Cub Scout pack 54, Boy Scout Troop 54 and Veterans. Guest speakers include USAF Lt. Colonel Lisa Amatruda, Army Nurse Corp’s Capt. Carol Doiron, Reverend Linda Williams of Washington, CT, Reverend Bob Cronk of Act 4 Ministries, and town dignitaries. There will be patriotic music, ceremonial exercises and refreshments.
All servicemen and women and the public are invited to join in the celebration.
In addition, the event will run concurrently with the Ray Manzi Insurance’s annual “Tribute to Our Veterans.” The Manzi’s will have an all-day open house at 215 Main Street South in Woodbury. Collections of World War II memorabilia, photos and artifacts will be on display throughout the day.
