Woodbury U12 Baseball Gets Walk-Off Win Over Fairfield American

WOODBURY – Matt Palumbo doubled to lead off the bottom of the sixth and scored on a double by Brayden Altieri to give the Woodbury U12 baseball team a 2-1 walk-off win Saturday over Fairfield American.

Woodbury pitcher Braeden Purser-Eber pitched 5-2/3 innings and struck out 10 Fairfield American batters. Purser-Eber also launched a towering home run to left center in the fourth inning that cleared the Hollow Park batting cages:

Brenden Toon got the win in relief, and stuck out the only batter he faced.

Palumbo had two hits and a walk for Woodbury.
