YGB Basketball Camp Coming Back To Woodbury

WOODBURY – Town resident Bret Nichols will bring his You Gotta Believe (YGB) Basketball Camp back to Woodbury Middle School for two one-week sessions this summer.

YGB Basketball Camp is open to boys and girls entering grades 1-9. Campers may enroll for one or both sessions as new learning will take place in both sessions.

With strategies to develop the all-around player, the staff works hard to be sure there is a positive, upbeat and energetic climate for making the most out of the camp experience. Fundamentals are the focus at YGB Basketball Camp, and all aspects of game are explored including offense, defense and foul shooting.

The camp will provide: development of basketball fundamentals and competitive games, daily contests, prizes and giveaways for each camper, award ceremony on final day of camp and a fun filled week where each camper goes home with something.

Campers will be competitively split up into age, gender and ability groups to challenge their potential.  Campers will leave with learned moves from the triple threat position, off the dribble, the low post and much more.

When Is YGB Basketball Camp?

Session 1 of YGB Basketball Camp will be held from June 26 to June 30 from 8 a.m. to noon, and Session 2 will take place July 31 to August 4 from 8 a.m. to noon.

There is an Extended Day session available to campers in Week 2, and those hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Extended Day will include tournament games, team practices and skill building competitions with more prizes to be given out. Leadership and team building exercises will be built into this portion of camp as well. The Award Ceremony will occur at the end of the Extended Day on Friday at 2 p.m. for all campers.
